PROJECT DESCRIPTION
HOUSE IN GLYFADA
DIADOCHOU PAULOU & MAROS, GLYFADA
The project is about an addition by extension and height of an existing two-storey house with pool.
The main addition is a two- storey volume on the back of the house, that enlarges the kitchen and living room on the ground floor, and creates three bedrooms and bathrooms on the first floor.
On the main façade of the house, overlooking the sea, is proposed the closure of the existing terrace of the ground floor living room, with a peripheral glass construction, in order to exploit the beautiful view to the sea. A Lightweight construction of metal and wood, creates a balcony that is accessed from the glass area, and houses partly the pool creating shading on the front part of the seating area.
The logic of the composition was to create two isobaric volumes in relationship to the central oldest part of the housing that is covered with a gabled roof. White is suggested as the main color outside and inside the house.
