PROJECT DESCRIPTION

MONK,HOMESTORE
CHANIA,CRETE

Monk soul living brings new trends into the home suggesting good quality products on good prices in a modern environment. MONK gives its clients choices, combination of materials, objects, and colors with high daily aesthetic.

With clear product zones and staged home spaces, helping the customer to see and choose functional, original, and durable products.

The store is located on a central spot on the town of Chania, Crete and is developed in three floors with decorating products, homewares, furniture, kitchen and bathroom items, linens, gift items, baby, and teen items, as well as seasonal collections.

Three big glasses on the ground floor, with the entrance on the middle one, dense metal grid on the floor and the unified wall element above it define the façade of the store. Black frames, columns from grey cement mortar and a base from local marble are the main materials of the façade.

The floors are developed in open plan with theme zones, kitchen, dining room, bathroom, bedroom, child room etc. Big racks on the walls, open racks-spacers and lower castor furnishing leave space for a free movement and sights throughout the whole store.

The combination of modern, frugal materials creates a worm atmosphere and make the store visit easy and relaxed.

Natural wood, glass, cement mortar, black metals and frames, unique lighting, different flooring depending on the use, «green» surfaces and mirrors contribute for a result of an attractive, easy-going environment that the products blend and become one with the fixed furniture of the store.
