PROJECT DESCRIPTION
HANS & GRETEL STORE, PIRAEUS
Hans & Gretel stores combine the sale of ice cream-candy-chimney cake, crepes and waffles in a thematic environment, imaging an innocent and happy world. The store is located on the main square of Piraeus. The aim was to maintain the brand’s identity but also adding new architectural elements and materials that renewed the company’s image.Creating sliding windows and moving glass opens up the store to the square and simplifies the entrance for the customers. The floor, like a route in a forest and the ceiling like a starry sky, complements the thematic elements like the big tree on the center of the space, with the outstretched branches that cover the space, the Witch’s ”house” and the figures of Hans and Gretel.
